I look pregnant. That can't be me.? Thing was, my friend Kim looked like she always did. I can fit three of her inside me,? I thought. Beyond my outside appearance, my doctor kept inviting me back for quarterly visits because my blood levels were on the border. I could no longer wear my wedding ring. I had tried other plans, but nothing was working. I was ready to just give up and buy all black stretch clothes. Then in November 2010 my friend David told me he'd lost 40 pounds in three months. I hemmed and hawed about how it wouldn't work for me, and then, with David as my coach, I decided to try it. I figured I could be at goal by the summer. Take Shape for Life has been the best plan I've ever done. Goof proof if you follow it. I love the brownies (raw and cooked) and love the education through the books and workbooks. I have lost 60 pounds, 38 inches and 4 dress sizes in 13 weeks. What's more, I feel so grateful that I now understand how to permanently stay in a state of optimal health. I have never felt better, and I'm not even done yet. That brings me to the health coach role I chose. I want to help others learn what I have learned, to stay in the conversation, to reach a healthy weight and stay there. Believe me: if I can do it, you can do it. I'm here to help.
